Athletic's Vision
Moving forward, Athletics envisions a $100 million complex that will help UTSA Step Up to the highest level of athletic accomplishments as well as provide significant educational, economic and entertainment opportunities for our entire community.

UTSA Athletics provides a focal point for school identity, pride and spirit among students, alumni, faculty, staff and the San Antonio community. The master plan for the complete complex includes:
- Football Practice Fields
- Track and Field
- Soccer Stadium
- Baseball and Softball Fields
- Tennis Competition Facilities
- Team and Training Building
- Convocation Center

A state-of-the-art team and training building will house training and workout facilities, locker rooms and athletics operations, coaches' offices and athletics administration under one roof.
Long-term plans call for the addition of a 12,000-seat convocation center that will be utilized by the university and area schools. The complex will be a high-visibility destination, attracting competitors from around the region and the world.
Achieving Excellence
Roadrunner Athletic Fund donors make it possible for UTSA athletes to build on a legacy of excellence within intercollegiate athletics. But your gift extends far beyond the playing field—you are shaping more than 300 young men and women who are the future leaders of our community.
Roadrunner Athletic Fund donors provide scholarships for student-athletes who dream of a competitive intercollegiate environment and a valuable education from a top institution in Texas.
Scholarship Costs
Scholarship costs are not waived. Our student athletes have a 19% higher graduation rate than the overall student body.
The cost to UTSA Athletics to support one scholarship student-athlete is $17,506 annually, or roughly $3.4 million total for 2010. This covers tuition, room and board, and books. The cost of educating all student-athletes by the year 2013 is anticipated to almost double to $5.6 million. UTSA Athletics does not receive any state or federal funding for its programs, so your support is crucial to meet the educational and athletics needs of our 17 men's and women's sports.
Every teachable moment student-athletes experience contributes to their sense of dedication, teamwork and professionalism—vital skills for success that carry them through and beyond graduation.
